I was initially on the fence about bars this wide but figured I could always trim them. No need for me, the control and feel of the bars is outstanding. I ride in the PacNW so yes there are trees and brush but no the bars are never a real issue.Outside of the width discussion these bars are strong, reasonably light and look great!
