I weigh about 225 lbs, and the two dark rubber shock pads (included) work well for me. It will bounce a little if you sit while climbing hills, or during a fast cadence/spin. You can reduce the bounce by sitting back a little further in the saddle or shifting during a fast spin. It's light enough to not notice any extra weight swinging back and forth when climbing on your pedals. I like it.  Okay Post But Horrible Customer Service, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Cane Creek Thudbuster LT 27.2x450 Suspension Post Black (Sports) Because I'm 6'2" tall, I needed a longer seat post and I wanted the added suspension feature because I have a comfort cruiser bike. Although somewhat pricey, the Thudbuster 450mm fit the bill. I have ridden about ten miles on it on both paved and dirt paths. It does dampen the road feedback (I weigh 175) and makes the ride somewhat more comfortable. However, don't expect a completely cushioned ride; you will still feel the bumps and rough patches in the roadway. The seller is Bikewagon. While I recommend the product, I do not recommend Bikewagon. The Thudbuster was sent USPS Priority Mail. USPS delivered the package to the wrong address, yet posted "delivery confirmation." When I contacted Bikewagon and explained that the package was not delivered to my home, Bikewagon did nothing, offered no assistance and even refused to contact USPS to trace the package.
