As many others have suggested, take an allen key on your first ride and keep moving them around before torqueing up when you get home. I like them but they are not as great as I expected. Like any good MTB grip, these include a clamp, so these are on for good - no slipage whatsoever. Also, they do have the wider surface area - a platform for your palms. This is cool! What they lack, IMO, is a "cushy" material. Mine are pretty hard. Probably the hardest MTB grips I have owned/bought. Sure, they are made out a rubber like material, but they are still pretty stiff - much more than I expected. All in all, I still recommend although they are a little pricey... I just wish they were more comfortable. I'd pay(even) more for that. I bought these to help relieve some wrist pain and they have helped, some - these and some gel gloves. Still not a miracle though...Btw, I use these with grip shifters and they fit fine. I chose the GX1 grips because Amazon had them in stock at the time, and they were about the same price as the GP1 grips that everyone else was selling.Easy to install. It took a few rides to get them positioned to the best place, but the comfort is now much better. I'm still having some issues with my hands going numb, but that is improving as I get more riding time. |
