They are sized generously to go over pants and even boots, though they are still fairly tight in the leg opening to prevent them getting into the chain.They are light and seem well made. They repel weather very well, not that breathable but that's understandable. They are definitely generously sized up high in the butt & thigh. They do taper at the lower leg, BUT I still had some fabric that would impact the crank, causing a small tear in the leg that became bigger over the course of the ride. The adjustable velcro strap at the ankle cuff is way too short, not allowing you to "cinch up" the ankle at all. You are limited to a short piece to attach to. What would make this pant better, would be an additional adjustable strap perhaps halfway up the calf to draw in the fabric at that point. That's where the excess fabric catches on the crank arm and tears.Also, pockets would be very nice. It really should be a staple in bicycling apparel now. Clothing without pockets is just a bad marketing choice in my opinion. Cyclists need options, many of them, depending on what ride faces them that day. If you... They shed rain no problem. I rated them only 4 stars as I wish they had a pocket. I got around that by carrying a small fanny pack. I use them bicycling. |
