5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Nike+ Sportwatch GPS, June 5, 2011

I am using this with the recently-released Nike Sportwatch+ GPS, and it works great. The sensor seems very responsive and was easy to set up.

On the watch, I had to:

- Start a run
- Choose Options --> New Sensor

The watch found the heart rate monitor almost immediately and worked flawlessly from then on.

If you have two or more nike+ systems and you are trying to set them up, you may get a "too many sensors" message from the watch, and may need to distance the woud-be pairs of watches and monitors from one another while pairing. However, once paired, the watches will talk to their respective sensors without any evidence of interference. I believe this is because these sensors are "coded" to prevent cross-talk between nearby transmitters and receivers.

The strap is reasonably comfortable and I'm getting used to it quickly. Parts of it are a relatively comfortable elastic, and other parts of it are a vinyl-like material... Read more

I have an IPOD nano 6th generation with Nike+ enabled. With the addition of the Polar WearLink+ I was able to get my heart rate during my running exercise. Works great! Easy to link to the nano.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware: Not all units can pair with the NIKE GPS watch, February 25, 2012

This review is from: Polar WearLink+ transmitter Nike+ (Sports)
I purchased this the NIKE GPS watch and the polar transmitter as a package from Amazon in Feb 2012.
When I tried pairing the polar transmitter to the watch, the watch was able to detect the transmitter but was not able to add it into the menu.
I went on to the internet and found out that the fault lies in a manufacting defect for a series or polar transmitters. The starting serial numbers are listed and mine happens to be on of them. This was what Nike posted to one of the affected customers:

"Can you verify the if the serial number on your Polar WearLink+ starts
with one of the following combinations: C131-C135, C139, C141, C143, C145,
C147, and C151. If so, here is what you need to do: 1. Have your Polar
WearLink+ heart rate transmitter handy so you can provide the serial number
to Polar. 2. Contact Polar. For quickest resolution, simply send them an
email (at customer.service.usa@polar.fi) and provide them with your name,
mailing... Read more
